Membership is not restricted by age, but we require members to be over 21 due to the nature of many venues we visit, which serve alcohol. Nevertheless, Fifty+ Friends activities and events are specifically designed for mature (older) adults.


Events are typically posted on the calendar one month in advance, with excursions and some significant events being posted even earlier. As each week passes, another week's worth of events is added to the end of the calendar, ensuring that there are always four weeks of events available.


 New events are added at 7:00 pm every Tuesday. 


  • Registration for all events is available as soon as they are posted.
  • New events are posted and available for sign-up four weeks in advance on Tuesdays at 7:00 pm, although more significant events might be posted earlier. Notice of early ticket releases will be posted in the membership portal before the release date.


Yes! Any other subscribed member can use your ticket.


To make it easier for our valued subscribed members, we have implemented guidelines for guests accompanying a Fifty+ Friends member to a scheduled event or activity. These guidelines are straightforward to follow. 


1. The primary event must take place OUTDOORS in a location without limited seating. For example, guests would be welcome at a picnic in a park or a nature walk. 

2. The event must not require reservations of any kind.

3,. If an exception to either of these rules has been made for a specific event, the event description will indicate so.

4. Guests ARE welcome to join us on any of our Fifty+ Friends Travelers national or international trips and most events that fall on major holidays.


We appreciate everyone's assistance in helping to make our club's activities as accessible as possible for our subscribed members by adhering to these criteria.


Fifty+ Friends usually offers 3-4 weekly activities. However, fewer events may occur during weeks with significant holidays.


While the number of participants at some events is not limited, others are filled on a first-paid, or first-reserved basis. For these events, we recommend signing up early to give us time to increase capacity if demand exceeds expectations. 


In addition, many of our events are held at outside venues open to the public that have reservation limits that might close the event when their capacity has been reached. This is why we strongly recommend making your reservations for all events as early as possible.


For most activities, members will be responsible for their own transportation to and from the event. We highly recommend getting together with other members to carpool and split the expense for gas and potential parking fees! If Fifty + Friends provides transportation, this information will be included in the event description.


We post information about parking locations and applicable fees on the event description page of each event. Consider creating a carpool alliance with other members to share the expense of driving to and parking at some events.


We aim to avoid canceling events whenever possible. As long as it is logistically feasible, we will proceed with events even if only one or two members attend. However, cancellations or rescheduling may occur due to severe weather, insufficient sign-ups when a minimum number of participants is required for the venue or excursions, or other circumstances beyond our control, such as when an outside venue or provider cancels their event.


If an event scheduled to be facilitated by Fifty+ Friends is canceled, any fees paid will be refunded to the account used for the payment, and Fifty+ Friends will make every effort to contact registered participants promptly. 


If an event is canceled by an outside venue or provider, you will need to refer to the cancellation procedures of the venue or provider.


For events where fees are paid to external venues or providers, the venue's or provider's refund and cancellation policy will apply.


For events with fees managed directly by Fifty+ Friends, if Fifty+ Friends cancels the event for any reason, Members will receive a full refund of any fees paid. 


Due to the logistics involved in planning events, such as procuring supplies, making deposits, and other financial commitments, no refunds are available if a Member cancels their participation in an event they have registered for that Fifty+ Friends is facilitating. We recommend that Members post their tickets on the Fifty+ Friends Facebook (Meta) page, as another Member might need tickets, especially if the event is sold out!


Please note that there are no refunds for Membership or Initiation fees. Once a Member cancels their membership, it will remain valid until the last day of their subscription, and members may attend events during this time. However, tickets or event reservations extending beyond the Membership expiration will be invalid.


We encourage members looking for tickets to sold-out events to go to our Fifty+ Friends Facebook page, where we encourage the community to post any tickets they cannot use. You might find your tickets there!


Unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund if you miss an event after registering. That is why we recommend you post your tickets on the Fifty+ Friends Facebook page to see if another member wants them.


Fifty+ Friends events and activities sometimes require walking, manual dexterity, and the ability to transport oneself to event sites. Anyone requiring assistance for any event must provide their own personnel for these tasks. 


Unless the event being attended allows guests, assistance personnel must become subscribed members and abide by the same rules regarding registering for events and event access as all other members. 


You can upgrade your membership inside your membership portal by logging in to fiftyplusfriends.com. You will be charged for the entire term of the longer membership, but our accounting department will issue you a refund for any overlapping membership days within 1-3 business days.


The event description will include an "Activity Level" field, informing members of the level of physical activity expected for the event. 

Level ONE: Minimal physical activity - May involve little more than walking from transportation to the event.

Level TWO: Some physical activity- May involve walking for multiple short distances (10 minutes or less) at the events.

Level THREE: More physical activity- May involve quite a bit of walking or other physical exertion.


As our membership grows, we will increase the number of events and Event Hosts, providing all members with a broader range of event and activity options. 


At Fifty+ Friends, oiur dress code is "YOU do YOU!"


Fifty+ Friends has a volunteer Host program that allows members to host scheduled events in exchange for free membership dues. Access to Host positions is by invitation only from management. To qualify for the invitation to be a Host, members must have been subscribed for at least three months and have attended at least ten events.


Choose the option inside your membership portal to cancel your membership at least 24 hours before your renewal date.
